Day 1 - Sep 13 Geneva, NY

Had a very nice ride today from Niagara-on-the-Lake through Batavia, NY (Lunch stop) and then on NY5 and US20 to Geneva, NY

Ben and I had lunch at the Settlers Resturant in Batavia. We had made good time on the New York State Throughway, but after lunch I wanted to be on US20. This is one of the cross country highways running from Newport, OR to Boston, MA.

We arrived in Geneva, NY on the shore of one of the Finger Lakes (Seneca Lake) at 3:35, good timing as the registration desk opened at 4pm. The demographic of this riding group is different, it is made up of couples, but in their late 40's to over 70. Some trikes, lots of Honda Gold Wings, some custom Gold Wing Trikes, and of course Harley's and two Cam-Am Spyders.

At 6pm it was time for wine tasting, but no cheese or snacks, and they only served about 1oz per glass, not to say that I was thirsty. This was New York State wine so not VQA, all good, but not that outstanding, living in NOTL you become a bit of wine snob I guess.

Dinner was at 7pm, with a two man band playing, which I could done without, as it was too loud to hear a conversation at the table.

Anyway, tomorrow is our first day of the Rolling Through America - Finger Lakes Motorcycle Tour.
